I found Paul Ward through a basic google search when I found myself in need of an estate lawyer. Paul was prompt and friendly when he returned my initial phone call. Paul was very straight forward with regards to his working style and fee structure and agreed to meet with me and my brother for an initial consultation. 10 minutes into the consultation I was convinced that Paul was the right person for us to work with. His attention to detail blew me away, and as the months went on I became even more satisfied with our working relationship. Although we are still in the final phases of closing my late mothers estate I can say without hesitation that we really found a "partner" in Paul Ward. It is often too easy to make jokes about lawyers counting the minutes and seconds only to charge you enormous fees for doing everything possible, this is simply not the way that Paul works. Paul is of course willing to take care of all the details if that is what you want, but in our case we partnered with Paul and allowed him to do the heavy lifting on the legal side, and we stayed engaged on a weekly basis corresponding with creditors as well as reviewing and correcting all documents being issued to the probate court. Oh and if you are the kind of person like me who likes to conduct most if not all communication through email - Paul is your guy. We worked through some pretty complex legal challenges almost exclusively through email. The only way that was possible was for Paul to be an excellent communicator and actually follow through on the tasks he agreed to do. i can not say enough good things about my experience working with Paul so if you are looking for a legal "Partner" dont think anymore - pick up the phone and call him.
Paul Ward was very helpful with a "Back Taxes Owed" issue on a piece of property owned by my late brother. He spoke to me t length, put me in contact with the correct town officials and ultimately resolved the issue. It was an ongoing dilemma for over 5 years. With Paul's professional advice & action, the situation was resolved. I would highly recommend his services!! Vincent D'Abrosca

Home sale by owner
I sought Paul Ward's representation when selling a summer house without a realtor. He listened carefully to my needs and preferences, suggested possible courses of action, and made informed recommendations. Paul was knowledgeable, easy to talk to, patient with my questions and always very responsive. He made me feel like I was his most important client. In short, his guidance and support made the legal process very smooth. I would not hesitate to seek his representation again and would certainly recommend him to others.
Elder Law Help
Paul Ward has been my legal consultant for many issues. At the forefront, my 93 year old mother's home, finances and most recently, her estate and filing legal paperwork with the State of RIupon her passing. He was very professional, thorough and attentive to the seemingly endless questions I had. He provided prompt, thoughtful advice about the sale of her home. He helped me review the 20 plus pages I had filled out for Veterans Spousal Benefits. I highly recommend him for any legal matters - he will be honest in what is involved, whether he can help and what to expect from his work. You will not be disappointed!!
Trustworthy reliable, and knowledgeable
Paul Ward is competent in every way — trustworthy, reliable, and knowledgeable about the law. My experience with him chiefly concerned an estate and probate matter, but there were many different issues involved, including a real estate closing. Mr. Ward is quick to return emails and phone calls and is very easy to talk to. He is efficient with his time and gives great “common sense” and technical advice. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
